Calcite is one mineral family, but it shows up in lots of different colours, and each one meets us in a slightly different place. The base is the same, but the tone shifts, and those shifts matter.

Sometimes, self-care looks like running a bath or switching off your phone. Other times, it’s saying yes to something new, something that might feel unfamiliar but keeps tugging at your attention. This story is about one of those moments. A few years ago, a client came to see me for what she described as "just a bit of self-care." Let’s call her Rachel. She was overwhelmed, exhausted, and second-guessing every decision at work. She didn’t feel like herself anymore. Like ma
