You're right to be picky about where your stones come from.
I am too...
If you've ever held a crystal that looked too bright, felt oddly light, or came with a "healing properties" leaflet that read like it was written by a robot, you already know the feeling. Something's off and you can't quite say what.
You're not being difficult. You've just developed an eye. And once you've got one, you can't un-see the difference between a stone that's been through a dozen hands and a dye bath, and one that came out of the ground looking exactly like that.
So I thought I'd tell you how my shop actually works, because people ask, and because I'd rather you knew what you're paying for.

I don't buy anything I don't personally resonate with
That's not a line I put on the website to sound nice. It's the whole buying process. If a piece doesn't do anything for me when I hold it, it doesn't come home, however good the price is or however well it would sell. I've walked away from plenty of stock that was perfectly fine, just not right.
Which means everything in my collection has been chosen twice. Once by me, and then again by you.

Where it comes from
I buy from trusted suppliers I've worked with for years, and wherever I can I want to know which mine a piece came from. That's not always possible with every stone, and I won't pretend it is, but it's always the question I'm asking. Traceability matters because ethical sourcing isn't a badge you stick on, it's a relationship with the people you buy from.

Natural first, always
Here's the honest version on treated stones, because there's a lot of nonsense out there. Some crystals are dyed. Some are heat-treated. Some, like aura quartz, are coated to give them that shimmer, and they're beautiful and people love them. I do stock a few of those. What I won't do is sell you one without telling you exactly what it is.
But my personal recommendation is always the natural version. If a stone comes in a colour that only exists because someone put it there, I'll point you to the one that doesn't. The energy you're working with is the stone's own, and I want you working with the real thing.
What I won't stock at all is the overly treated stuff, the stones that have been so processed there's barely anything left of what they were.

Why my collection looks different
It goes from tumble stones you can carry in a pocket to statement pieces up to 100kg. Most of it isn't listed online, partly because it changes constantly and partly because some pieces really do need to be seen and held before anyone decides.
That's why I do personal shopping, in person at mine in Watford or over Zoom if you're further away. You tell me what you're looking for, or what you're feeling, and I'll bring out what I've got. Half the time people go home with something they'd never have searched for.
If you're a therapist stocking your own healing room, ask me about wholesale. I keep a small number of accounts for practitioners who want the same standard I hold myself to.

What this means for you
When you buy from me, you're getting a stone I chose because it felt right, from a supplier I trust, with no surprises about what's been done to it. That's it. Not cheaper than the internet, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But you'll know what you're holding.
If you've got a piece at home you're not sure about, bring it along or send me a photo. I'll tell you straight. And if you want help choosing something that's actually right for you rather than just pretty, message me and we'll sort a time.
