Sound healing in Watford and Hertfordshire: What a Session with Me Is Actually Like

When your mind won't switch off and you've tried everything that involves trying harder.
The early nights that didn't work, the app you deleted, the "I'll just get through this week and then I'll rest" that you've been saying since spring. If you've done all of that and you're still lying there at 2am with your brain running through tomorrow, you're not doing anything wrong. Your nervous system has been asked to hold more than it was ever designed to, for longer than it should have to, and it has stopped taking instructions.
That's usually the point people find their way to me. Not because they've decided they believe in sound healing. Because they're tired of carrying it, and lying down for an hour while someone else does the work sounds like exactly what they need. An hour, or longer if you need it, I'm not fussy about the clock.
So if you've been searching for sound therapy in Watford or somewhere nearby in Hertfordshire and you're hovering over the enquiry button, this is for you.
What Sound Healing and Therapy Actually Is

Everything in your body has a vibration, right down to the tension you're holding in your shoulders without realising. When you've been stressed for a long time that vibration gets stuck and out of tune with itself. You feel it as the wired-but-exhausted thing, the jaw you didn't know you were clenching.
Sound works directly on that. I'm intuitively guided to whatever your body needs on the day, so it might be tuning forks, singing bowls, a rain column, or a mix of all of them across the hour. Each one produces a vibration your body picks up and settles into, and the nervous system moves out of the constant alert state it's been living in and into something much calmer. You don't have to make it happen. You don't have to meditate properly or clear your mind. Your body already knows how to respond to sound, it just hasn't been given the chance.
That's why I use sound within nearly every healing session I do. It takes people deeper, and faster, than almost anything else I work with.
What Happens When You Come to Me

I'll be honest, most people are nervous before their first session. The unknown is the bit that puts people off, so here's the whole thing.
Before you arrive: I clear the space and tune in to what you might need. I draw cards and pick the crystals I'm guided to, so by the time you walk in the room is already set up for you specifically.
When you arrive: We have a chat. There's no pressure to know what's wrong or what you want from it. "I just feel drawn to try it" is a perfectly good reason and it's the one I hear most.
During the session: You stay fully clothed and lie comfortably on my treatment couch. From there I work intuitively with sound, Reiki, Angelic Reiki and crystals, depending on what's present for you on the day. There's no formula and no rushing. Some sessions are mostly sound. Some are mostly hands-on. Your body tells me where to go.
I book at least an hour, but it takes as long as it takes. Nobody is being hurried out of the room because the clock says so.
Your only job is to lie there. A lot of my clients fall asleep, and I mean that as a compliment. For some of them it's the first time in months they've properly stopped.
What People Experience
I've lost count of how many people say "I didn't expect to feel that" after their first session.
In the room: Some feel warmth or tingling while the sound is moving through them. Some feel very emotional, sometimes for no reason they can name, and that's completely normal. When the body finally feels safe enough to soften, the things we've been holding on to start to move.
Over the following days: Others feel very little in the room and then notice over the next few days that they're sleeping better, reacting differently to the things that usually set them off, or feeling lighter without being able to say why.
There's no correct way to experience it, and nothing that comes up is too much for the room. This is why I work slowly and with care, every single time.
Who Comes for Sound Therapy
Over the years I've worked with people from all walks of life, and plenty of them would never call themselves spiritual. Nobody needs to believe in anything to lie down and let sound settle them.
The ones I see most often are:
The people holding everything together for everyone else.
Overstimulated, running on empty and not saying so to anyone.
People in the middle of a big life change.
People grieving.
People who are simply so tired that sleep isn't touching it any more.
If you recognise yourself in any of that, you don't have to wait for it to get worse before you book. You're allowed to be the one who gets looked after for once.
Where I Am and How to Book

I work from my home in Watford, Hertfordshire. It's a very easy trip from Bushey station and only a few minutes from the M1, so people come to me from all over the county and beyond.
If you'd like to come for a sound therapy session, or you just have questions before you decide, get in touch and I'll come back to you. I'm always happy to talk it through first. Nobody should book something they feel unsure about, and a chat usually takes the nerves out of it.
